Privacy policy

Collecting personal information

This Privacy Policy describes how Problems Lab collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit our website or make a purchase. We collect information you provide directly (such as email address and account details) and limited technical information required to operate the site securely (such as IP address and user‑agent for fraud‑prevention logs). We do not store full payment card details – Stripe processes all payments on our behalf.

How we use your information

  • to create and manage your account and library of purchased downloads;
  • to process orders and provide receipts and download links;
  • to contact you about your account or support requests;
  • to maintain the security and integrity of our services.

Sharing personal information

We share personal information with service providers only to the extent necessary to deliver our services, for example with Stripe for payment processing and with hosting/email providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, a subpoena, or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate secure sessions. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of the site.

Access and correction (Australian Privacy Principles)

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request corrections if it is inaccurate, out‑of‑date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us at support@problemslab.shop.

International transfers

Our providers may store or process information outside Australia (for example, in the United States). Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure that those recipients do not breach the APPs in relation to your information and that the transfer is necessary for our functions or activities.

Retention and security

We retain account and order information for business and legal purposes, then securely delete or anonymise it when no longer required. Passwords are hashed using industry‑standard algorithms; payment details are handled by Stripe. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Your choices

You can update your account email, request access or correction, or request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@problemslab.shop. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you transactional emails about your purchases or account.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, contact us first at support@problemslab.shop. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational or legal reasons.
